The Cumberland Pencil Museum and Myartsspace have come together once again to hold an international calendar competition.

We are inviting artists from all over the World to share with us an image of England's famous Lake District, the home of The Cumberland Pencil Company makers of Derwent fine art pencils and The Cumberland Pencil Museum.

Imagine a softening haze over the lake, a summer sunset lighting the mountains vivid red, a babbling stream with a heron feeding nearby and the magic of a Roe Deer standing in the morning mist. These are just some of the things that make the Lake District a unique and fascinating place.

Overall Winners Prize
The overall winner will receive a Limited Edition Derwent Watercolour wooden box worth £275 and their picture will be used on the cover of the 2009 mysartsspace calendar.

2nd - Derwent Inktense 72 wooden box
3rd - Derwent Coloursoft 24 gift set
All winning entries will be exhibited at The Cumberland Pencil Museum in Keswick during December.

Competition Rules
All work must be done in Coloured pencil, Watercolour pencil, Charcoal or Pastel.
Maximum size for entries A3 (297mm x 420mm)
