Tuition Workshop - Woodland Creatures in Colour with Joanne Kell
16th September
If you like the texture and blendability of Artists colour pencils, but prefer a crisper, more precise drawing style, a Studio pencil is for you. Studio shares the same colour strip as Artists, but it is slimmer and the woodcase is hexagonally shaped rather than round. The result? A colour pencil that is easy to grip and particularly suited to detailed illustration work, such as botanical studies, architectural drawing and graphic design. All tend to be studio-based – hence the name.

Joanne will also be combining Coloured Drawing and Studio Pencils in this Workshop. Drawing Pencils have an extra wide, creamy textured strip which produces a beautifully soft, velvety finish. It is the perfect medium for wildlife and nature studies, natural portraiture and dreamy, evocative landscapes.

Joanne is a self taught artist, specialising in highly detailed Pencil work. Having a passion and nature for animals, Joanne began drawing at a very early age. She become involved with local wildlife conservation in her home town in West Yorkshire, where she has combined her outdoor interests with her love of art. Joanne is now a Full Time Professional Wildlife Artist.
