What's on

Find out what’s on this month and join-in the free demonstrations & tuition workshops

Derwent @The Pencil Museum workshops are a great way to explore the uses of the Fine Art Pencils we manufacture in our Cumberland Pencil Factory, here in the Lake District. The workshops are run by professional artists and are suitable for beginners and intermediate levels.

The day starts around 10am where we meet for coffee in the Museum coffee shop; a great way to get to know the group. We then glide our way through the day exploring and experimenting with the pencils and Derwent mediums, creating a couple of pictures and being inspired by the professional artist’s tricks of the trade. The day generally finishes around 4.30pm.

The tuition costs £60 per person, pre-booking is essential as we keep the numbers to a tight group of a maximum of 10 people, enabling you to get lots of one to one tuition throughout the day.

All materials are supplied along with complimentary tea, coffee and afternoon treats. Lunch can be bought additionally from Sketchers coffee shop.
